For those that are deficient in the DAO enzyme, which can cause Histamine or Amine Intolerance which includes 'Alcohol Flush Syndrome'. This product contains the DAO enzyme taken at the time of the meal or drink.
Please note the DAO ingredient is of animal orgin. For a vegetarian and vegan option for DAO, please see the Cozidase product.
Directions for use: Take 1 tablet just before the histamine containing meal or drink. Use a maximum of 3 tablets per day. Swallow tablet whole.
Each tablet contains: Diamine Oxidase (DAO) enzyme (range of 20,000-30,000 HDU per tablet from pig kidney protein extract) in a small 5mm tablet.
Fillers: Microcrystalline cellulose, hydroxypropyl cellulose.
Glazing agent: Ethyl cellulose, potato starch.
Stabilizers: Sodium alginate, magnesium stearate, medium chain fatty acids.
Glossing agent: Hydroxypropyl methylcellulose. Stabilizers: oleic acid, stearic acid.
Please note this product is not suitable for vegetarians as each tablet contains 4.2 mg pork kidney protein extract which contains the 20,000-30,00 HDU DAO enzyme.
This product is a Low FODMAP food and is certified under the Monash University Low FODMAP program https://www.monashfodmap.com/.
