Blend11 is a delicious blend of 11 superfoods, all chosen for a reason nutritionally (high protein, omega -3’s, antioxidants etc).
The *activated mix can be used to boost smoothies, shakes, in breakfast/dessert parfaits or in protein / energy balls. The mix contains:
Chia seeds - protein, calcium, magnesium, iron, omega 3's, fibre, antioxidants.
Goji Berries - anti-oxidants, amino acids, traditional medicinal qualities (kidney, liver, eye tonic etc)
Cacao nibs - anti-oxidants, magnesium, amino acids.
Amaranth - protein, manganese, anti-oxidants
Millet - low -reactive, alkalising grain, yin tonic
Pepitas - zinc, fibre, essential fatty acids
Sesame seeds - calcium, magnesium, fibre.
Linseeds - essential fatty acids, fibre, phytosterols
Buckwheat – chromium, protein, fibre
Coconut - lauric acid, mct’s
Almonds - calcium, magnesium, fibre
*Activating’ (or moistening with water ) is
important to get the most out of the mix nutritionally and make
it easy to digest (some of the seeds in the mix think it’s rained
and their germination process is triggered, stimulating enzyme
release and decreasing anti-nutrients).
- Moisten 1/2 a cup of goodMix with a few tablespoons of water
- Mix well & leave overnight (bench or fridge) the seeds will absorb all the water
- Serve with berries / fruit / smoothie / yoghurt (or try some goodMix recipes!)
Moist / activated mix will last up to 3 days in the fridge.
Average adult serve = two heaped tablespoons of activated mix.
Serve size: 50g per serve is low FODMAP.
